JOSA is excited to share insights from our recent survey that gathered valuable feedback from our community members. This survey, an essential part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our activities and engagements, has brought forward a wealth of opinions and suggestions that are pivotal in shaping the future of our association. The feedback covers a range of topics from our monthly meetups and communications methods to our specialized groups like JOSA's Book Club and the various training sessions we host.

The survey results indicate a strong appreciation for our current offerings, with 77% of respondents having attended our members meetups this year. However, there is always room for improvement. For instance, 50% suggested different topics or structures for our meetups, while others expressed a preference for varied times and venues. Our communication platform, Slack, while popular (84% usage among respondents), also garnered suggestions for open source alternatives and varied discussion topics. This feedback is invaluable as it not only guides us in fine-tuning our efforts but also reaffirms our commitment to meeting the diverse needs and preferences of our members.

We encourage all JOSAns to continue participating in these surveys. Your input is crucial as it directly influences our planning and implementation of activities that cater to your interests and professional growth in 2025. Let's keep the dialogue open and active; your involvement is key to our collective success.
